Dallas Cowboys: Interview with 2021 NFL Draft prospect Wyatt Hubert

Secondary is one of the biggest areas that must be addressed. Two top-50 2021 NFL Draft picks and a strong safety free agent class will the Cowboys some options. Dallas also needs to upgrade in the trenches.
Adding a big body to the interior needs to be on the to-do list. So is adding a pass rusher opposite of DeMarcus Lawrence.
Tank Lawrence is still one of the best defensive ends in the game., but there is uncertainty opposite of him. Aldon Smith is a free agent, and Randy Gregory has yet to prove that he can play an entire 16-game schedule. The position may not be the biggest pressing need, but the Cowboys will have to address it in some capacity.
Kansas State's Wyatt Hubert is an intriguing late-round option for the Cowboys.

Unlike most years, there is not an elite pass rusher in this year's draft class. There are some first-round options — such as Georgia's Azeez Ojulari, Michigan's Kwity Paye, and Texas' Joseph Ossai — but not a consensus top-10 player.
That has made many believe the Cowboys will target a different position with their 10th overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. Offensive tackle and cornerback are two popular picks. Both positions have multiple first-round prospects and are needs for Dallas.
Kansas State's Wyatt Hubert is an option for the Cowboys if Dallas opts to address the defensive end position later in the draft. The former three-star prospect totaled 94 tackles, 33 tackles-for-loss, and 20 sacks during his three-year career in Manhattan.
Hubert became an impact player for the Wildcats' defense early in his career — intercepting a pass against nationally-ranked Mississippi State in his third career game. He recorded at least 4.5 sacks every season, including 8.5 in 2020.
Where Hubert lacks in length and overall size — just 265 pounds and 30-inch arms — he makes up for it in technique and effort. The Kansas native finished with 15.5 sacks over his final two seasons on the collegiate level, and he was selected to the All-Big 12 team multiple times.
The K-State product joined the Talkin' The Star podcast on the Blogging The Boys network to discuss several topics. Hubert talked about going up against 2019 second-round pick Dalton Risner in practice. He also discussed the Senior Bowl and his recruitment.
Additionally, Hubert gave his opinion on Kansas City BBQ and if it lives up to the hype. He also talked about his hair and what he enjoys doing away from football.
