This matchup was hyped for almost two weeks as the Dallas Cowboys faced the Washington Football Team for their first of two meetings over the next two weeks.
Dallas, who was coming off a win against the New Orleans Saints, needed this victory to keep hope alive to win the NFC East.
Washington on the other hand was on a four-game winning streak with wins against Seattle and Las Vegas.
Cowboys were able to sneak out of FedEx field with a 27-20 game, which was honestly not as close as the score indicates.
Now that everyone has dissected the win, here are three observations we learned from one of the most heated rivalries from Sunday.
Micah Parsons undoubtedly ROTY and DPOTY
If Micah Parsons was in the race for both awards, he very well is after his dominant performance Sunday afternoon.
Parsons was all over the field, wreaking havoc as he finished with three tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
He missed out on an interception to add to an already great performance but could not corral it.
Micah has made everyone else on the defense better as they feed off of his aggressiveness and tenacity.
In his last six games, he has 9.5 sacks which are 1st in the league.
If these spectacular performances continue, Parsons will undoubtedly be rewarded for his efforts.
Dak Prescott has everyone worried
Since his calf injury in week 6, Dak Prescott has not been himself and his play has diminished.
When the media and reporters ask, he says he is fully healthy and feels fine but his lack of mobility says otherwise.
Since Denver dominated the Dallas offense, teams have played tighter and disguised their coverages to force Prescott to make harder throws.
Over the past five games, Dak has struggled reading defenses, play calling is conservative, and running game is nonexistent.
Teams can now game plan knowing they can make the offense one-dimensional, which puts a lot more pressure on Dak to make plays.
As the playoffs near, Dak needs to get it together to give the team the best chances to compete.
Neville Gallimore's debut is one to remember
The biggest surprise was how well DT Neville Gallimore played in his debut this season after suffering an elbow injury in preseason.
Gallimore's strength and bully mentality was exactly what the Dallas defense was missing the first 12 games.
In this play, he was able to bullrush Washington's center in the lap of Taylor Heinicke for a big sack.
Not only was he effective on passing downs, but his power in the run game was noticeable as well.
With Neville back, it gives opposing defenses another talented player to account for.
Dallas will need all of its playmakers as the playoffs is around the corner, hopefully, this team can represent.
