Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant put himself on LeBron James' level on Sunday.

At least for a moment.

Morant had a gravity-defying block in the Grizzlies' win over the Los Angeles Lakers that instantly reminded me of James' famous block in the 2016 finals.

Here's Morant's block from Sunday.

And here's LeBron's from 2016.

Initially, I tweeted that Morant's block was "100 times better" than James' block. But that was before I rewatched the iconic moment from James.

After the rewatch, I'm putting Morant's on the same level as LeBron's. The moment for LeBron was obviously much bigger. But from a pure athleticism standpoint, Morant's block is right there with LeBron's.

Either way, it's clear that Morant is one of the most exciting young players in the NBA right now.
