The Dallas Cowboys have one of the best wide receiver corps in the National Football League. Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb are quite the trio. Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown offered two more solid options behind them in 2020.

Therefore, it would make sense for the Cowboys to prioritize other positions early in the upcoming draft — especially on the defensive side of the ball. That said, Michael Gallup's contract expires next offseason and receivers are becoming more and more important in today's NFL.

Additionally, Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown are both up for new contracts this offseason. Adding another quality body to the room would be a smart move by the Cowboys.

We recently wrote on one potential prospect that would be too good for the Cowboys to pass up on. The said player plays wide receiver and would immediately add explosiveness and speed to the Cowboys' offense.

Another loaded receivers class could have the Cowboys' attention early. However, it is much more likely Dallas waits to address the position until late in the draft and even in the undrafted free agent market.

Mississippi State's Osirus Mitchell presents an interesting option for the Cowboys.

Assuming the Cowboys wait until late to address the wide receiver position — or just want to add more than one player at the spot — Osirus Mitchell could be a good candidate to consider.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound wideout had an interesting path to Mississippi State, but he eventually carved out a nice role with the Bulldogs. He finished his career with 1,413 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.

Mitchell's best season came in his last. That should not be too surprising, as the Bulldogs threw the ball more than ever with Mike Leach at the helm. The Florida native hauled in 47 catches for 505 yards and four touchdowns. His career high in scores for a single season was six in 2019.

The Mississippi State product could push himself higher up on draft boards with a strong performance at his Pro Day in March, and the Dallas Cowboys should be interested in having him on their radar.

Mitchell joined the Talkin' The Draft podcast on the Blogging the Boys network to discuss a wide-range of topics. He talked about his unique recruiting process, playing against Patrick Surtain II, and what Mike Leach is like.
