The national media has once again failed to give the Tennessee Titans the proper respect.

It feels like this happens constantly. I don't think it's because the national media has something against the Titans, I think it's because they don't feel like the franchise moves the needle enough on a national stage.

The latest example of the Titans not receiving enough respect came in NFL.com's general manager power rankings that were released this week.

Before I clicked on the rankings, I tried to predict where I'd see Titans general manager Jon Robinson's name.

I figured he'd be No. 3 or No. 4.

Boy was I wrong.

Robinson was all the way down the list at No. 11.

I'm not sure what they were thinking by not putting JRob in the top five.

Look, I know he's not perfect as a general manager. And I know he doesn't have a Super Bowl yet. But the stability Robinson has brought to the Titans has been nothing short of amazing.

The Titans won five games total the previous two seasons before Robinson's arrival.

But since Robinson took over in 2016, the Titans have experienced six straight winning seasons, two AFC South division titles, and an AFC Championship game appearance.

There's obviously room for improvement, but the six straight winning seasons are a direct result of Robinson's personnel decisions and his decision to hire Mike Vrabel to replace Mike Mularkey as the franchise's head coach.

If the Titans were named the Dallas Cowboys, Robinson would be No. 1 on this list. But because he works for the Titans — a team the national media doesn't pay much attention to — he was just mindlessly tossed on the list.

I shouldn't be surprised anymore when this kind of thing happens, but for some reason, it still baffles me.
