San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has requested a trade, according to multiple reports.

Samuel is one of several wide receivers, along with Tennessee Titans wide receiver AJ Brown, who is looking for a new contract. The 49ers seem willing to pay Samuel, but the talented wide receiver appears to be ready to move on from the Bay area.

If Samuel is traded, he could end up being a thorn in the side of the Titans.

That's because the Indianapolis Colts are a potential landing spot for the former South Carolina standout.

NFL.com's Kevin Patra named Indianapolis as one of the teams that makes the most sense for Samuel.

From NFL.com:

Owner Jim Irsay promised big changes this offseason, and he's delivered everywhere but in the receiver room. The Colts need to find Michael Pittman Jr. a running mate. Deebo would immediately give Indy a dynamic 1-2 punch. Samuel would fit well in Frank Reich's offense and provide Matt Ryan a quick target over the middle. With an aging QB like Ryan, adding a receiver who can rack up yards and first downs after the catch would be a big boon. Indy lacks a first-round pick this season, but might the Niners accept future assets? We know the sides have worked together on significant deals in the past (SEE: DeForest Buckner). The Colts have finally started to use their hordes of salary cap space this offseason. Chris Ballard can continue that trend by acquiring and paying Samuel.

I feel like this is probably a longshot since the Colts don't have a first-round pick this season. But even if Indianapolis somehow pulls off a trade for Samuel, I still think the Titans would be the overwhelming favorites in the AFC South.

Would it make the matchups against the Colts a little more interesting? Of course. But Tennessee would still have the better roster and the better head coach.

The Titans don't need to worry too much about what the other teams in the AFC South are doing. They just need to focus on staying healthy, getting AJ Brown extended (which is going to happen), and picking up where they left off last year during the regular season.
