NFL Network's Rachel Bonnetta recently ranked the top five "non-RB" runs of all time and a play from former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair made her list.
Bonnetta ranked McNair's 71-yard touchdown run against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1998 as her No. 4 non-RB run of all time.
The late McNair was wearing a Tennessee Oilers uniform in 1998 (the franchise's first season playing in Nashville) when he broke off the impressive run.
Tennessee was up by just two and facing a 3rd-and-8 with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter when McNair navigated his way through the defense for the score.
If McNair doesn't get the first down there, then all the Buccaneers would've needed to win the game was a field goal. Tampa Bay likely would've had good field position, too. McNair, however, shut down any hope of a comeback by Tampa.
The Oilers didn't make the playoffs in 1998, but McNair's impressive run gave us a glimpse of what was to come in 1999 when the newly named Titans would nearly win Super Bowl XXXIV against the St Louis Rams.
