What's better than a 96-point College Football Playoff game? Not much.

But 2011 Heisman Trophy Winner Robert Griffin III won't remember Saturday because of the epic showdown between TCU and Michigan like many of us will. In fact, he'll remember it because of the latest addition to the Griffin family.

Live on air during ESPN's FieldPass Simulcast with the Pat McAfee Show, Griffin III took a call and reacted live to the news that his wife was in labor.

As his co-hosts (including Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan) asked what he was doing on his phone, Griffin delivered one of the best moments in college football TV this year.

"Sorry, guys, I gotta go," said the former Baylor quarterback as he took off running with the speed resembling the one he showed off on the field when shattering records in college.

Making things even more fun, Lewan emphatically congratulated Griffin III right before he started delivering  a detailed play-by-play as his colleague left the field, even noting the cameraman was "much slower than RG."

There are things that are way bigger than sports. But to be reminded of it in one of the most exciting college football games of the season was something else. Big respect for RGIII for not batting an eye before abandoning the broadcast.

And props to the team, including Lewan, for hyping him up and reacting perfectly.
