CBS Sports recently named the best offseason move for each AFC team and they think the Tennessee Titans' best move came during the 2022 NFL Draft.
Cody Benjamin, an NFL writer for CBS Sports, suggested that Tennessee's decision to draft Liberty quarterback Malik Willis in the third round of the draft was the Titans' best move of the offseason.
Acquiring former Rams standout Robert Woods is a hugely underrated move for the WR room, which lost A.J. Brown. But Ryan Tannehill may well not be under center beyond 2022, so Woods' value is eclipsed by that of Willis, who is very raw but extremely enticing athletically, giving Tennessee a boom-or-bust type to develop at the most important position in the sport.

Landing Willis in the third round was definitely a great move by the Titans. He's a player that some draft analysts had going in the first round — thanks to his big arm and upside. But he ended up falling a bit further than expected due to being a "raw prospect".
Calling the selection of Willis the Titans' best move of the offseason, however, might be a bit of a stretch. We have no idea how Willis' NFL career will turn out. He might be Tennessee's franchise quarterback, or he may barely see the field as a pro. It's far too early to make any sort of prediction for the former Liberty standout's career.
CBS Sports alluded to what I think was the Titans' best move of the offseason — the trade that brought wide receiver Robert Woods to Nashville.
Tennessee only gave up a sixth-round pick for Woods, a wide receiver who is coming off a torn ACL.
Woods, who just turned 30 in November, is only a couple of years removed from back-to-back seasons with over 1,100 receiving yards. Trading for Woods looked like a great move when the deal went down. It looks even better for the Titans after the trade that sent wide receiver AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The former USC standout will bring a much-needed veteran presence to Tennessee's wide receiver room. And that's more important for the Titans — at least in 2022 — than having Willis sitting behind Ryan Tannehill on the depth chart.
