Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker and wide receiver Cedric Tillman are extremely close, but the duo still manage to argue on a daily basis.
According to Hooker, he and Tillman argue over who the best rapper alive is nearly every day.
"The topic that's like an everyday topic is, ‘Who's the best rapper in the game right now? Who’s moving?’” said Hooker on Thursday at SEC Media Days.
“He's kind of like an old soul, so he’s, like, Kanye, and stuff like that. I’m like, ‘Ced, come on, bro. Let’s be real.’”
When Hooker was asked if the rapper debate happens on a daily basis, he admitted that it does.
"Every day, definitely," said Hooker. "There’s always a new intricate. He always brings up a new fact about Kanye or somebody. Every day.”
Hooker, by the way, told reporters that he believes Lil Baby is the best rapper in the game.

The fun arguments every day about rappers are just an example of how close Hooker and Tillman have become over the last year.
That relationship extends to the football field, which is likely the catalyst for the duo's success last season.
"Me and Ced really kind of clicked from the jump in routes on air," said Hooker on Thursday when asked about their relationship. "And then I remember the spring game we connected like four plays in a row and he went over the top for a touchdown. From then on, you know, we really just started clicking, so to hang out a little bit more, taking receiver and quarterback trips. And just kind of building that chemistry."
"Now we know each other like back on our hands. I know when he's gonna make a cut. He knows when the ball’s coming out. The chemistry is amazing."
This is a great example of why team building exercises are so important. If players are comfortable with each other off the field, there's a much better chance they'll have success on the field.
Hooker and Tillman are proof.
