Just ahead of their big matchup with LSU in Baton Rouge, it appears that the Tennessee Vols have converted a celebrity Tigers fan into a UT fan.
Celeb podcaster and standup comedian Theo Von, a former LSU student who rose to fame as a member of the Road Rules cast on MTV, was randomly on the sidelines last week for the Vols' win against the Florida Gators.
Von somehow managed to end up dousing Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel with Gatorade to celebrate the win.
Von, who said he was invited to the game by former Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs, spoke about his trip to Tennessee this week.
The popular comedian said there's no way he could do anything but cheer for the Vols after his experience at Neyland this past weekend.
Von then hilariously referred to everything that happened during the game with a "we" in front of it.
"I feel like a member of the team…there's no way I could not cheer for that program now," said Von. "Especially after all we did against Florida."
"It was a dream come true, we got the win," added Von.
"There's no way I could not be a Tennesese Vols fan now," continued Von. "It would be absolutely impossible. I've still been texting with some of the players…I hope to see you guys on the field, baby. Go Vols."
There's no denying the pull that UT athletics has on folks. There's truly something special about Tennessee. And we know that because it seems like every time a non-Vols fan celebrity goes to Neyland, they leave as a Tennessee fan.
