The Tennessee Vols beat the Kentucky Wildcats on the field in late October and it appears they beat them off the field in early November.
On Monday, 2023 three-star running back Khalifa Keith decommitted from Kentucky.
Keith, 6-foot-/217 lbs from Birmingham, AL, is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 60 running back in the nation. He had been committed to the Wildcats since July 4.
The feeling is that Keith, who visited Tennessee for the Vols' win against Alabama last month, is destined for Rocky Top.
Tennessee offered Keith on October 21 and it didn't take him long to decide that Kentucky wasn't the place for him once the Vols showed interest.
According to GoVols247, Keith will visit Tennessee for the Vols' game against Missouri this upcoming Saturday (UT's final home game of the season).
Keith may seem like an under-the-radar prospect, but I think we've seen enough from some of Tennessee's opponents this season to know that recruiting rankings don't always tell the whole story (Georgia star wide receiver Ladd McConkey's only other SEC offer was Vanderbilt, for example).
The Vols see something they like in Keith. And if they land him, he could be scoring touchdowns against Kentucky while wearing orange instead of the other way around.
