Former Tennessee Vols linebacker Kivon Bennett announced this week that he's transferring to Arkansas State to play for former UT head coach Butch Jones.
Bennett originally signed with the Vols in 2017 as part of Jones' final recruiting class at Tennessee.
Bennett, who was rated as a three-star recruit, played in 28 games over four seasons for the Vols. He compiled 52 tackles and 6.5 sacks during his time on Rocky Top.

The Florida native was dismissed from Tennessee's football program this past December after being arrested during a traffic stop. Bennett was stopped with more than 44 grams of marijuana, a scale, 58 plastic baggies, and a loaded Glock 17 9mm handgun.
“Kivon Bennett has been dismissed from our football program following a traffic stop earlier today," said Jeremy Pruitt in a statement on December 1. "There is a standard our student-athletes are expected to uphold at Tennessee, and today’s incident fell well short of that standard.”
The former UT linebacker pled guilty to a pair of misdemeanor charges in March. Bennett received a judicial diversion and unsupervised probation.
