The Tennessee Vols are a team on the rise and as a result, they're going to be featured in quite a few "must-see" games in 2022.
In fact, 247Sports ranked the "100 best college football games" in 2022 and seven Tennessee games were included.
Here are the seven and where they were ranked:
- Florida @ Tennessee — September 25
- Alabama @ Tennessee — October 15
- Tennessee @ Pittsburgh — September 10
- Tennessee @ LSU — October 8
- Tennessee @ South Carolina — November 19
- Kentucky @ Tennessee — October 29
- Tennessee @ Georgia — November 5

It's hard to argue against those choices. Tennessee's only SEC games that weren't included were their matchups against Missouri and Vanderbilt. I'm a bit surprised the game against South Carolina was included, but Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer seems to be a favorite of the national media. That's likely why that game was included.
If the Vols manage to go 5-2 in those games (with losses to Alabama and Georgia), it will likely mean a 10-win season for Tennessee.
However, I think 4-3 is more likely. The games against South Carolina and Kentucky should be wins. The game against Florida should be a win as well, but we've seen the Vols have a lot of issues in the past with Gators teams they should've beaten.
Tennessee's matchups against LSU and Pittsburgh — both of which are road games — are a bit more difficult to predict. I'm not really sure what to expect out of either of those teams this season, which is why I could see those games going either way.
If the Vols go 4-3 in that stretch, they should finish with a 9-3 regular-season record. That would be Tennessee's best regular-season finish since going 9-3 in 2007 (that was also the last time the Vols won the SEC East).
While we aren't sure how the season will turn out, we do know one thing for sure — Tennessee is once again going to be extremely fun to watch thanks to Josh Heupel's exciting offense.
