The Tennessee Vols are one of the teams to beat for one of the top running backs in the nation.
2023 four-star running back Jeremiah Cobb revealed his top six schools on Monday and he included Tennessee, along with Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, and Texas.
Cobb, 5-foot-11/186 lbs from Montgomery, AL, is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 12 running back in the country and the No. 18 overall player in the state of Alabama.
The talented running back, who also runs track in high school, visited Tennessee for the program's junior day back in March. He's scheduled to return to UT for an official visit in late June.
"They have always been on me since the beginning of my recruitment," said Cobb of Tennessee to Rivals.com after dropping his top six. "They are a great bunch of coaches with coach Heupel, coach Mack, and I have a great relationship with them."
Auburn feels like the frontrunner in this recruiting battle, but a great visit in June could put the Vols in a good spot for the potentially elite running back.
