The Tigers are coached by NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

Middleton played for two seasons at Tennessee. His best season came in 2019 when he totaled 28 tackles, including two tackles for loss and one sack.

The former Vol didn't put up gaudy numbers at Tennessee, but he had a couple of memorable plays, including the time he bull-rushed two Alabama offensive linemen to blow up a play in the backfield.

There was also the time he kept pace down the field with a running back.

Jackson State will be Middleton's fifth school in six years. He spent the first two years of his college career at East Mississippi Community College before transferring to Tennessee. Middleton left Tennessee before the 2021 season and transferred to West Virginia, where he played in just three games.

The former three-star recruit briefly signed with Alabama A&M earlier this year. Middleton will be a graduate student at Jackson State.
