The Tennessee Vols' matchup against the Florida Gators on September 24 in Neyland Stadium is officially sold out.
Tennessee made the announcement that the game is sold out on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday, Vols head coach Josh Heupel met with the media to discuss Tennessee's game against Akron this weekend.
A reporter asked Heupel if he had any thoughts on the Florida game being sold out.
Heupel offered a one-word response.
"Don't."
There's no doubt that Tennessee's head coach is locked in for the Akron game.
While the hype has started to build for the upcoming game against the Gators, Heupel has made it clear this week that his team is focused on nothing but Akron.
It's going to be an insane atmosphere in Knoxville for the Florida game — probably the wildest environment since the Oklahoma game in 2015 or the Florida game in 2012 (UT fans obviously hope the outcome of this year's game against the Gators is different than it was for those two games).
Heupel's fine with fans getting excited about the Florida game. But he's not letting any of that excitement creep into the Vols' locker room. It's all about Akron for them.
