The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the best all-around offenses in the league, and here is why.
The passing game has been outstanding. Jalen Hurts looks like an MVP candidate, and A.J. Bron could be an Offensive Player of the Year candidate.
But that isn't the main reason.
The running game is much better than it was last season. Miles Sanders is having somewhat of a breakout year and is putting everyone on notice.
A lot of people aren't really sure why he is having such an improved season. But, he has cemented himself as a top-15 running back and could keep going, which is a large part of why the offense is so good.
"Well, he's running hard," offensive coordinator Shane Steichen said. "I think he is finding his way in the end zone for a couple of those that pop for a big one. He had the one against Pittsburgh that was awesome. And then he is finding his way inside the 10-yard line getting in there.
"And he is doing a heck of a job. Great job all year at seeing the holes and great vision. I think it is just turning out that way that he is scoring touchdowns. It has been good."
Sanders has just over 600 rushing yards on the year, which is 200 yards under his career high. Oh, did I mention that they have only played eight games during the year?
He also has six touchdowns on the year, which is tied for his career high.
Sanders is going off this year and is the main reason the offense is not only elite but the reason why the Eagles have one of the best rushing games in the league.
He is on the brink of a breakout year.
