There's been a lot of talk over the last week that free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr is close to signing with a team.

Beckham is recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in Super Bowl LVI, which is why he didn't sign anywhere during the offseason.

Some of the talk about OBJ signing over the last week has been because the Kansas City Chiefs restructured Travis Kelce's contract. The timing of that restructure (just before the NFL trade deadline) has led some folks to believe that they're in the market for Beckham.

The Green Bay Packers are another team that's been connected to Beckham — especially after Aaron Rodgers recently said he wouldn't mind playing with the three-time Pro-Bowler.

Both of those franchises would make sense for Beckham. But if you're expecting OBJ to sign somewhere before the trade deadline, you might be disappointed.

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, Beckham isn't expected to be ready to play until mid-December, which means OBJ signing somewhere could be delayed.

From ESPN:

If you're waiting around on Odell Beckham Jr., you might have to wait a while longer. Two team executives familiar with the Beckham situation told me last week that the realistic time frame for Beckham to be recovered from his knee injury and available to play is around mid-December.

Whichever team decides to sign Beckham likely wants to see him work out when he's closer to 100 percent before committing financially to him.

We'll keep an eye on the situation, but it certainly sounds like it might be a bit before OBJ signs.
