CeeDee Lamb is in his third season with the Dallas Cowboys, but this one had a different tone to it. With the departure of Amari Cooper, Lamb was thrust into the WR1 role, turning up the sound on his first-round draft pick status.

Lamb hasn't backed down from that challenge in the slightest, he's instead channeled his inner Rocky Balboa when he went up against Apollo Creed. Lamb has registered nearly 900 yards in 10 games and is on pace to set career highs in yards, receptions, and touchdowns in his first year as the top guy.

Pro Football Focus put out its wide receiver rankings for this season so far just before Thanksgiving. Lamb's ascension landed him at no. 10, one slot behind Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Marcus Mosher on Lamb's big year:

"Lamb has taken over the No. 1 receiving job in Dallas and has put together a stellar season despite playing five games with Cooper Rush at quarterback. The Cowboys have done a good job of moving him around this season, as 58% of his routes have come from the slot. Look for Lamb to have some massive performances over the next two months with Dak Prescott at the helm of a red-hot Dallas offense."

The Cowboys took on the New York Giants on Thanksgiving, with sole possession of the second spot in the NFC East on the line. With the lights shining bright and plates filled with turkey, Lamb put forth an effort worthy of the praise PFF gave him.

Lamb racked up 106 yards on six receptions, averaging a season-high 17.7 yards per catch.

Speaking of catches, Lamb had one versus the Giants that will be talked about for years to come. Late in the third quarter, with the Cowboys clinging to a one-point lead, Lamb made a spectacular one-handed reception near the sideline, pressing the ball against his helmet.

The return of Dak Prescott has been a godsend for Lamb and the Cowboys' offense. He's put up 31 receptions for 448 yards (301 yards in the last three games) and three touchdowns in those five games and has hauled in 11 catches of 20 yards or more as well.

Pressure burst pipes, but Lamb is showing that he's built for the load when it comes to being the Cowboys' top option through the air.
