The Las Vegas Raiders' offensive line has been under scrutiny since the offseason. In Week 1, they performed better than expected overall. That being said, they still need more upside ad experience on the unit. Head Coach Josh McDaniels may not believe that, though.

If McDaniels believes that the players they played on the OL is the best available talent on the roster, that is fair. If he thinks that they don't need to make an outside move for the offensive line, that is probably incorrect.

Kolton Miller did not play well in Week 1, but he is the best player on the line for the Raiders. Aside from him, there is little consistent experience from the unit. Not to mention, there is very little depth.

Center Andre James sustained an injury in Week 1, and his replacement is cloudy. Rookie Dylan Parham played really well at guard, but he and Miller cannot be the only two players that are above average on the entire offensive line.

In the AFC West, QB Derek Carr and the offense have to have time to find success. They will be in plenty of offensive shootouts. Plus, the defensive lines in their division and conference are elite. Pressure in both the passing and running game must be controlled by the Raiders' offensive line.

Their current roster depth at OL is not enough for the Raiders to be a contender this season. McDaniels will have to accept that at some point.
