The Las Vegas Raiders just endured their most crushing loss of the season.

Yes, you read that correctly.

After tough losses earlier in the year to the Cardinals, Chiefs, and Saints, many thought it could not get any worse. Heartbreak could not strike a team this often.

The Raiders just proved that was not the case.

They got off to a quick start today against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Davante Adams dominated in the first quarter, and the offense was rolling.

The Raiders held a 17-0 lead early in the second quarter.

That evaporated quickly in the second half. The offense got stuck in the mud, and the defense could not stop a runny nose.

The Jaguars won the game 27-20.

At 2-6, the Raiders' season is mathematically almost certainly over.

The Jaguars simply outworked the Raiders.

That has become a trend for Josh McDaniels' team. There are flashes of really high level play, but it gets washed out by massive mistakes.

This loss by the Raiders added to an unreal statistic regarding McDaniels, too.

The Raiders did not lose games when they got off to a large lead early in the game. Now, it has become a norm for Las Vegas under their new head coach.

Not to mention, the Raiders were a playoff team just a season ago.

Now, they sit in the basement of the AFC. The AFC West is way out of reach with the Chiefs and Chargers at the top of it.

Their playoff chances are basically out the window, and the Raiders will probably be picking in the top five of next year's NFL Draft.

The crumble has been ming-boggling. it goes back to McDaniels.

For McDaniels, he has already been in hot water over the last couple of weeks. He has had multiple closed door meeting with owner Mark Davis.

His seat is scalding hot at this point in just his first season with the Raiders.
