The Chicago Bears are 2-1 after their 23-20 win against the Houston Texans.

The 23 points represent the Bears' highest point total of the season and they needed every single one on Sunday. Roquan Smith's fourth-quarter interception set up Cairo Santos' 30-yard field goal as time expired, but it was the Bears' rushing attack that was the catalyst behind the win.

The Bears ran for a season-high 281-yards on 40 carries and they were effective from the start. Luke Getsy's scheme is proving itself legit early-on in the season and it's exciting to see where this phase of the offense goes from ehre.

Sunday's output was not only impressive in current context, but it's also impressive in a historical context.

Like, very impressive.

The Bears haven't rushed for more than 280-yards in a single game as a team since a September 1984 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Somehow, the Bears lost that game, 23-14. But, that obviously wasn't the case in Week 3.

Regardless, it was a good win that keeps the team on a solid path moving forward. And, the Bears have an identity.

Now, it's on to New York Giants in Week 4.
