Most fans of the New Orleans Saints know about rookie wide receiver Chris Olave. Not quite as many people know about undrafted rookie Rashid Shaheed.

They're learning very quickly, though.

Shaheed, a former Weber State wide receiver, has special speed and athleticism.

As a former trackstar, you really just want to find ways to get the football in his hands.

The Saints have done that efficiently so far. His first two touches of his career have been long touchdowns.

The first was a 44-yard touchdown run. The second was a beautiful 53-yard TD catch from Saints' quarterback.

His explosiveness is undeniable, and the Saints have needed it badly.

Injuries have piled up on offense at wide receiver, and Shaheed has stepped up. Now, with Chris Olave back from a concussion, the Saints have a dynamic rookie WR duo.

For the Saints, those two receivers have to continue to make plays on offense.

Defenses are zeroing in on running back Alvin Kamara because they know about his talent, but he is still producing.

That being said, the talent at receiver without Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry has began to step up with these rookies.

The Saints need Shaheed and Olave to keep this up if they want to get back into legitimate playoff contention. The NFC South is still very much up for grabs. These two rookies will be vital for the Saints' chances.
