The Dallas Cowboys are now 6-2 following their most recent win and heading into their bye week. Much needed rest after a 49-point performance, with still much to be desired.

Dallas' defense surrendered 371 yards of total offense, including 240 yards on the ground. However, once again, the front seven of the defense was resilient, adding constant pressure in the backfield.

On the offensive side of the ball, plays were made plentifully. RB Tony Pollard was unstoppable. Running for 131 yards and averaging 9.4 per carry. As well as three touchdowns on only 14 carries.

CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup and Dalton Schultz all looked a lot more like themselves. Combining for 15 receptions, 200 yards and a touchdown on the day.

All stemming from the Cowboys franchise quarterback. Dak Prescott finished with 250 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, all while completing 78% of his passes. As well as adding 36 yards on the ground a touchdown.

What's even more impressive is the mark he's making on Dallas Cowboys history. Moving to third all-time in attempted passes.

Don't wait too long because Dak is only 27 yards away from passing Roger Staubach for third all-time in passing yards.

It will have to wait until after the bye week, however. Then they will take on the NFL's third ranked secondary in the Green Bay Packers in order to move up the list.

It's been a long season for Dak, and we're only halfway done. The injury to his thumb has kept him out for five games, but is reminding the league of who he was before.

Considering Dak has made it to the ranks of these Cowboys Hall of Fame QBs in only five complete seasons is impressive in it of itself.

Not bad for a fourth round pick.
