The Philadelphia Eagles are surprising a ton of people. They have come out of the gates hot and may be the best team in the league.
The Eagles are currently the only undefeated team left in the league and could stay that way for some time based on the way they are currently playing.
With the way the defense is currently playing, there is a possibility this is the most complete team in the NFL. Then add in the offense, and how many options they have, and this team is a playoff contender. Then, again, add in the fact that Jalen Hurts is playing at an MVP level and you get a Super Bowl contender.
He even recently won the NFC Player of the Month Award.
"I loved it," Darius Slay exclaimed when asked about his thoughts on the award. "He should have been player of the week, every week… but you know, that's why he got the monthly award because he has been the player of the week every week. He has been really balling man, carrying the team as he does well, making the right reads, completing the ball, and just doing what he is supposed to be doing. He's a dog, man."
The way Hurts is playing has brought up a ton of questions. One of those questions is if the Eagles saw this type of play coming. Slay was then asked if he is surprised by Hurt's play.
"No," Slay said reassuringly. "We already expected that. He was like that as a rookie, making the same stuff like that, you know… We already knew what kind of guy he can be. Great leader, great player, great dude."
Hurts hasn't surprised anyone within the organization. They drafted this guy knowing what he could do and knowing what he was capable of.
The Eagles are confident in their guy. They are confident that Hurts can be the guy that will lead them to another Super Bowl. Even the Eagles' defense is hyped about it. If anyone knows how good this guy is, it's the guys playing against him every day.
If it's not this year, it's looking like eventually Hurts will be the guy to lead this team to another Super Bowl. He is that talented.
