The Chicago Bears entered Sunday's game against the New York Jets without one of their best players.
Quarterback Justin Fields was inactive due to a shoulder injury he sustained in last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Unfortunately for the Bears, their injury woes got a bit worse during the game on Sunday against the Jets.
Wide receiver Darnell Mooney was deemed as doubtful to return due to an ankle injury.
Considering the sloppy conditions in New York on Sunday, the best move for the Bears would be to take Mooney's helmet. Just like with Fields, there's no need to risk further injury to Mooney.
The former Tulane standout is a key part of the Bears' future and the last thing he needs right now is a long-term injury that could've been prevented.
