The Pittsburgh Steelers finally did it. In the third quarter of their Week 4 game versus the New York Jets, the Steelers benched team captain Mitch Trubisky.

The Steelers offense had a horrendous first half versus the worst-ranked defense in the NFL while picking up only eight first downs.

Trubisky finished the first half with seven completions in 13 attempts for 84 yards.

To start the second half, first-round rookie Kenny Pickett entered the game. As you might have imagined, Acrisure Stadium got loud for the quarterback they've been changing for since the preseason.

Whether the Steelers' offense bounces back with the quarterback change remains to be seen as the woes of the unit have been caused by multiple factors.

That includes offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

Pickett's first drive ended with an interception on a deep shot to Chase Claypool.
