The New Orleans Saints have had an odd change this season.

Even with all of their injuries on offense, the Saints have not used one of their best weapons nearly enough. Alvin Kamara has been one of the best running backs in open space in the NFL throughout his career.

For whatever reason, they aren't throwing screens to their running backs nearly enough. In past seasons, the Saints were one of the best teams in the league at screen plays. Now, that has disappeared from the offense.

Some may blame offensive line injuries, but that really just gives them a larger reason to attempt to get their playmakers the ball quickly in space.

Not to mention, they have had success when they have attempted them this year. They've only thrown five screens to their running backs all season. Three of those have gone to Kamara.

Clearly, he is a tad frustrated with that.

He made some comments regarding the lack of involvement in the Saints' passing game this week.

He knows his talent. He knows the lack of the role that he should have for the Saints.

Kamara probably understands that the coaching staff and quarterback change probably hasn't helped the situation, but it is clear the offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. is not calling the screens enough.

No one except he and the staff knows the reasoning. With just about a month of the season left, it's too little-too late.

Kamara is frustrated with the Saints' coaches just like many fans are as well.
