Let's just start by saying I think we all agree that Chiefs Kingdom is the best and most loyal fan base in the NFL, right? Well, Chris Jones definitely thinks so.
The Chiefs have the best fans and some of the coldest weather, which seems to be a theme in the NFL. I mean, look at all of the cold weather teams and you will likely see their fans toughing it out in rain, snow, sleet, or wind.
Chiefs Kingdom is no different, and this week will be no different for them. It doesn't matter if it is going to be -50 degrees outside. If you can live in it, they will be standing in it cheering on the team that plays for them every weekend.
Chris Jones, one of the best defensive tackles in the league, has some advice for them, though.
“I was going to say bring coats," Jones joked. "Oh my God, it’s freezing. I got my blanket in the car, I might just wear that under my shoulder pads during the game."
Imagine a blanket coming out from Jone's jersey, looking almost like a cape. Now that would be pretty awesome.
"It’s going to be freezing out there, but I know Kansas City fans (are) the most loyal," Jones said. "They’re going to show up and support, they’re going to be loud, they’re going to be excited. It’s – oof, yeah – it’s going to be freezing. Oh my God. Pray for us, please. Thanks.”
The Chiefs Kingdom will most definitely be there, and like we have seen all season, they will probably be there five hours before kickoff, just like every other game.
Christmas Eve, Christmas day, it doesn't matter. These fans will support their team, and Jones knows that too.
