The Philadelphia Eagles are where they are because of the things they established this off-season. It starts with culture, and they have that down. Most teams don't have that built-in before they go into a season but you can easily tell the Eagles do.
It's just one of the many reasons they were able to push through and make plays to win a tough game on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Yeah, they have the offense with all the weapons like A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Miles Sanders. Not to mention a quarterback in Jalen Hurts, who is playing at an MVP level.
We also know they have the defense to shut down nearly anyone. They have a pass rush that can disrupt and go off for nine sacks in a game, and they also have a secondary that can lock up your best receiver.
But, the one thing they have that makes them special is a bond and a culture.
"You know, either teams throughout the year are going to come together, or they are going to grow apart, there is no in-between, right," Sirianni told reporters after the game. "And this team is continuing to come together because they love each other right? Like what is happening with Cam [Dicker]. They put their arms around him and welcomed him, and he made a big play when we needed it."
The Eagles have the right recipe for having a successful season. I mean, look, they are the only undefeated team left and are widely considered the best team in the league.
This team is showing they have what it takes to compete for much more than just the regular season record, too. They are showing they have the bond and culture set that will take them deep into an NFL season.
The Eagles are ready for another Super Bowl, and I know the city is too.
