Brett Kern, one of the most beloved Tennessee Titans in franchise history, could be on his way to a new home. However, his potential landing spot is sure to lead Titans fans to the brink of insanity.

Following the news that Philadelphia Eagles punter Arryn Siposs is expected to miss time, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Kern is slated to visit with Philly.

With a career spanning 15 years in the NFL, 13 of which came punting for the Titans, Kern has been nothing short of consistent. His ability to pin opponents deep in their own territory contributed to many wins during his time in Tennessee.

To the chagrin of many Titans fans, rookie Ryan Stonehouse edged out Kern in training camp. In hindsight, the move has worked out nicely for Tennessee, as Stonehouse leads the NFL in punting average (53.4).

Watching Kern play alongside former Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown in Philadelphia will only enhance the sting for Tennessee’s fanbase. This is especially true considering the Titans themselves could be watching two of its former stars lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl bid from the comfort of their own couch.

On the other hand, it’s impossible to root against Kern. The three-time Pro Bowler gave everything he had during his tenure in Tennessee. If he had it his way, he’d still be booming balls for the Titans.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman will have the final call on whether or not the team elects to sign Kern. That being said, the Eagles need to find a replacement quickly and Kern, more than most, fits the bill.
