The Tennessee Titans surprisingly fired general manager Jon Robinson last week despite the team being in first place in the AFC South.
There's been plenty of speculation that Robinson's decision to trade star wide receiver AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles was the catalyst for JRob losing his job.
The fact that Robinson was fired just days after Brown put up eight receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns against the Titans certainly lends some credence to that line of thinking.
Brown appeared on the "All Things Covered" podcast this week and he was asked point blank if he thought he was the reason that Robinson got fired.
"As much as I wanted to say yes, I don't know," said Brown when asked if he was the reason Robinson was fired. "I think there's some stuff that happened behind the scenes that I'm not aware of. So I don't know…maybe it was, maybe it didn't."
Brown was also asked about his big game against the Titans and whether or not it was a "revenge game".
"I wanted to let everyone know that they made a mistake," said Brown. "I still got love for the organization. They drafted me, they gave me an opportunity. But I wanted to let everyone know they made a mistake with me. So yes, most definitely it was a revenge game. Nothing but love to Tennessee, though."
The Titans trading AJ Brown to the Eagles will likely go down as one of the worst trades of the decade. And that's something that not many general managers can survive.
