The Green Bay Packers need a No. 1 wide receiver after trading Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders last week.

Green Bay was reportedly one of the teams that checked in on Tyreek Hill before the Kansas City Chiefs traded the star wide receiver to the Miami Dolphins.

The interest in Hill tells us that the Packers are still actively looking to make a splash addition this offseason.

That shouldn't really come as a surprise. Green Bay was willing to pay Adams more than he was paid by the Raiders. Adams, however, was just ready to move on from the Packers.

A report on Wednesday evening suggests that Green Bay has interest in Seattle Seahawks wide receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.

Metcalf makes more sense for the Packers. He's young, explosive, and is entering a contract year. The former Ole Miss star could be a great No. 1 option for Aaron Rodgers and help replace the void that Adams left in the Packers' offense.

Players are starting to have more and more control over where they're traded. Hill, for example, preferred Miami. Robert Woods, who was recently traded by the Los Angeles Rams, wanted to land with the Tennessee Titans (which is what happened).

For Metcalf, the Packers would be a great destination. Catching passes from one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history while playing on a Super Bowl contending team could make Metcalf a lot of cash.

The only problem is that Metcalf would be expensive in a trade. Green Bay, though, has some extra draft capital thanks to the Adams trade which could aid them in their pursuit of Metcalf.

I think it would be more than worth it. Metcalf is a known commodity that would be an elite weapon for Rodgers. Landing the star wide receiver would be a major offseason win for the Packers.
