With the offseason here, the Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft. The Cowboys have a long list of players hitting free agency, so the roster will look at least a little different by the time week one arrives.

Michael Gallup, Dalton Schultz, and Cedrick Wilson are three of the bigger offensive free agents that the Dallas Cowboys will need to address. It seems likely that Gallup has already played his last game with the Cowboys, though his injury-riddled 2021 season may factor into his open market value.

Schultz had a breakout season with Dak Prescott throwing him the football this past season. He emerged as a bonafide weapon in the offense and is due to get paid this spring. A potential franchise tag is possible, but it is difficult to predict what will happen with Schultz.

Wilson, meanwhile, is probably the most likely of the three to return next season. The 2018 sixth-rounder stepped up in a big way while Gallup was injured for big parts of the 2021 season. He showcased the ability to stretch the field and be a red zone option. Wilson will likely have the smallest price tag of the three pass catchers mentioned.

CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper are set to be back at receiver. Blake Jarwin will return as tight end, and he has flashed in spurts before. That said, the Cowboys could look to add another pass catcher this offseason depending on what happens with Gallup, Schultz, and Wilson.

Fortunately, it looks like the Cowboys could be a team that draws some interest from high profile receivers.

The upcoming free agency class has plenty of talent at the wide receiver position. Davante Adams, Chris Godwin, and Allen Robinson are among the headliners. Plenty of teams will be looking to upgrade their weapons for their quarterback to get the ball to.

Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Juju Smith-Schuster is among those set to hit free agency. The Steelers receiver looked to be on his way to stardom when playing alongside Antonio Brown. Brown leaving and Smith-Schuster suffering multiple injuries has hurt that progress.

Still, the USC product is still a fine player and more than capable of playing a big role in a successful offense. Smith-Schuster recently talked at a 7-Eleven sponsorship event that was hosted at the Cowboys' facilities about his upcoming free agency. He mentioned the Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott.

“He’s a great quarterback,” Smith-Schuster said. “Catching balls from him in a facility like this, I wouldn’t mind it. He has some good guys around him, a great team, a great organization. So you never know.”

Smith-Schuster joked about the Steelers' facilities being far behind the facilities that the Cowboys use. That has to be an attractive element for players when weighing where they want to sign and play.

Prescott was careful with his words, but he also mentioned that he wouldn't mind throwing the ball to someone of Smith-Schuster's caliber. That is not at all surprising, obviously.

"I don’t want to cause any tampering or anything," Prescott said. "But obviously, a great player. Just getting to know him away from the game, yeah, he’s going to be a great player, wherever he is.”

Smith-Schuster will have several suitors in free agency. The Kansas City Chiefs are a team that he expressed interest in last offseason. The Eagles and Chargers are two other teams that will likely show interest if the Steelers don't re-sign the wideout.

Additionally, it is unlikely that the Cowboys will have enough money — or want to spend the money — necessary to bring the Pro Bowl wideout to Dallas. Still, it is fun to think about adding another proven weapon to the offense.
