It feels like a lot of folks are down on the Green Bay Packers entering the 2022 season, mostly due to the trade that sent star wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this offseason.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky, however, isn't one of those folks.
Demovsky, who covers the Packers for ESPN, recently offered a bold prediction for Green Bay in 2022. He thinks the Packers will have their best season yet under head coach Matt LaFleur this upcoming season.
From ESPN:
The Packers won't match coach Matt LaFleur's win totals in each of his first three seasons; they will exceed them. The NFC North is rebuilding, while the games against the two New York teams, Philly and Washington shouldn't be too tough. That's already 10 wins. All they have to do is go 4-3 in their remaining games.

The Packers have won 13 games in each of LaFleur's first three seasons as the franchise's head coach (this past season, Green Bay went 13-4 in the new 17-game regular season).
Predicting Green Bay to win 14 games this upcoming season is certainly a different tone than a lot of the national media has taken in recent weeks.
But while I don't think there's any reason to be down on the Packers in 2022, I'm not sure Demovsky's prediction will come true.
Green Bay has some really tough matchups on their schedule this season. The matchups at the Buffalo Bills and at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are complete toss-ups. Games against the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans won't be easy. Then there's a late-season matchup against the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. And the Packers can't overlook games against the Philadelphia Eagles and the much-improved Miami Dolphins, either.
The Packers certainly have the potential to win 14 games in 2022, but they'll need everyone to stay healthy for it to become a reality. They might need a few lucky bounces, too.
