What Pro Football Focus has built in recent years is truly impressive. The amount of stats, data, and in-depth analysis that they put out on a consistent basis has turned them into a must-follow site for NFL fans. But every once in a while they put out a particular grade or take that is controversial enough to send NFL Twitter on fire.

Sometimes, it's enough for not only fans to respond but actual NFL stars. On Friday night, that star was Dallas Cowboys LB/DE Micah Parsons. The reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year took to Twitter to reply to PFF's Mike Renner's controversial statement.

Interestingly enough, Parsons wasn't defending himself or even a Cowboy teammate. In fact, he was defending a couple of former Ohio State Buckeyes. That's a lot coming from a former Penn State Nittany Lion.

Micah found it "disrespectful" for Renner to call the projected #1 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft a better athlete than Joey and Nick Bosa. A lot of people echoed the Cowboys' defensive centerpiece sentiment because "Bosa" is a household name in the league.

We're talking about a couple of brothers that were both Top 3 draft picks. Each one was voted Defensive Rookie of the Year. Nick Bosa is coming off an electrifying 15.5-sack season in 2021 while his older brother has four double-digit sack seasons under his belt.

You can certainly see Micah Parsons' point here. You know he's somewhat of an elite defender himself. But mostly, you can appreciate the Cowboys' 2021 first-round pick voicing his opinion on social media.

Now, we must be fair here. In Mike Renner's defense, he isn't claiming Hutchinson will be better at taking quarterbacks down at the next level. And there are arguments to back up his claim about Aiden Hutchinson.

Take the Relative Athletic Scorefor example. This number aims to take each prospects' measurables and times from the Scouting Combine and boil them down to one number. Hutchinson has the edge on the Bosa brothers!

  • Aidan Hutchinson: 9.88
  • Nick Bosa: 9.39
  • Joey Bosa: 8.96

The best part of Micah Parsons standing up for two players from his former college football rival team is that after an impressive rookie season, he's on a journey of his own to become "THE dominant force in the NFL" that the PFF tweet brings up.

Even in a season in which T.J. Watt tied the single-season record for sacks, the Cowboys' do-it-all defender received five votes for Defensive Player of the Year.
