The 2022 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and the Dallas Cowboys will be making its selection before we know it.
Slotted to make the 24th overall selection of the first-round, the Dallas Cowboys have a few different routes to go with its first pick. Offensive line, wide receiver, and defensive end are some of the biggest positions of need on the roster.
Dallas still has some time to make some moves in free agency that could impact the draft strategy. That said, several top free agents have already signed, meaning there are very few difference-making acquisitions that the Cowboys could make ahead of the draft.
The Cowboys opted to move on from wide receiver Amari Cooper and offensive tackle La'el Collins. Both played important roles on the Cowboys' offense, but Dallas made the decision to use the resources attached to them elsewhere.
With just over a month to go before the NFL Draft, one position is emerging as the most likely first-round selection for the Dallas Cowboys.
COWBOYS LIKELY TO BEEF UP TRENCHES

It seems ages ago that the Dallas Cowboys were known for having the unquestioned best offensive line in football. Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, Travis Frederick, and co. led the new era of the Great Wall of Dallas.
That is no longer the case anymore.
Frederick retired following the 2019 season, and Tyron Smith is only getting older. With La'el Collins out the door and legitimate question marks at left guard and center, it is time for the Cowboys to invest premium draft capital along the line of scrimmage.
Fortunately, this draft class appears to be filled with quality offensive line talent. From projected top-10 picks at tackle to round-one interior line talent, the Cowboys should be able to come away with a plug-and-play prospect.
Boston College offensive guard Zion Johnson and Texas A&M lineman Kenyon Green are two trendy selections for the Cowboys in mock drafts. Cowboys offensive line coach Joe Philbin attended Texas A&M's pro day, getting an up-close view at Green.
Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum is regarded as a top-10 talent in the class and is another option that could be on the table for the Cowboys. Tulsa lineman Tyler Smith is rising up draft boards and was the pick for Dallas in the most recent ESPN mock draft.
Wide receiver and pass rusher are two other positions that the Cowboys could address with its first-round selection; however, the smart money is on offensive line. Dak Prescott would be a fan of that move.
