CHICAGO – The Bears sat out the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but they're back in action with three picks on Day 2.

There are plenty of players left on the board that can come in, fill a need, and produce at a solid level in 2022.

So, without further ado, let's dive into this Day 2 mock draft for the Bears.

Round 2, No. 37 overall: WR Christian Watson, North Dakota State Bison

TRADE:The Bears trade the 39th overall pick (2nd round) and the 148th overall pick (5th round) to the Houston Texans for the 37th overall pick

There's a great chance that Christian Watson falls to the Bears at 39, but there's also a good chance the Houston Texans nab him at 37. So, in order to prevent that, the Bears send one of their two fifth-rounders to the Texans to move up two spots and select Watson in this mock draft.

The Bears give the Texans their fifth-rounder back and get a player that they've wanted since the draft process started. And, Justin Fields gets a dynamic weapon to work with over the next few years.

Round 2, No. 48 overall: G Darrian Kinnard, Kentucky Wildcats

The Bears have questions at one guard position and at both tackle positions, but the guard position is in need of help way before the tackle positions are. Teven Jenkins and Larry Borom aren't the ideal tandem when it comes to the tackle position, but, they're in better shape than the current combination of Dakota Dozier, Willie Wright, and Dieter Eiselen.

Kinnard immediately sows up the other guard position and actually gives the Bears a decent interior offensive line. Keeping the interior pass rush out of Fields' face will go a long way toward helping him take the "big jump" that the Bears expect of him in 2022.

Round 3, No. 71 overall: WR Alec Pierce, Cincinnati Bearcats

The Bears grab another big weapon for Fields and the player many are calling the next Mike Evans.

The Bears now have three quality wideouts in Pierce, Watson, and Darnell Mooney. Cole Kmet had a solid second season and the Bears have a workable offensive line at this point.

In all, the offense and the 2022 season has a much better outlook if the Bears' draft plays out this way.
