Even though Cowboys Nation is still holding heated discussions and debates about Dallas' first-round pick, the NFL Draft is still far from over. On Friday night, the Cowboys will make two more picks – barring any major trade – that could make or break their rookie class for 2022.

As it stands right now, the Cowboys hold the 56th pick in the second round and the 88th in the third round. They've addressed their biggest need with Tyler Smith from Tulsa, getting a project at tackle that will likely play at left guard as a rookie.

So, what's next? The second round is expected to feature plenty of wide receivers and edge rushers. The big question is, who will remain on the board when the Cowboys are on the clock? We could see a run at both positions early in the second round.

I fired up the PFF Mock Draft Simulator to get an idea of what things could look like on Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Second round, 56th overall: EDGE Logan Hall, Houston

In this scenario, wide receiver looked empty for the Cowboys. Only Jalen Tolbert and John Metchie would've made sense at WR with this pick, and Dallas could very well target one tonight.

But it's easy to make the argument that Hall is the best player available here. He ranks 37th on Dane Brugler's Draft Guide and 50th in Daniel Jeremiah's. Hall played everywhere along the defensive line in Houston. Yes, even nose tackle.

Although he mostly lined up at three-technique, Hall can develop into a quality pass rusher thanks to his length and quickness. He isn't a "one-move" rusher and progressed significantly throughout his career.

Brugler quoted an NFL scout on his Draft Guide claiming "The coaches say no other player on the roster made a bigger jump since when they arrived."

Third round, 88th overall: TE Jelani Woods, Virginia

In this mock, the best players available were mostly defensive backs, which is a very real possibility for Dallas on Day 2. Here I have the Cowboys getting yet another "project." Woods has tremendous upside thanks to his height and arm length that tank in the 97th and 93rd percentile, respectively.

Every tight end in this Draft seems to have a specialty, whether it's blocking or receiving. Woods, an aggressive blocker in college, has the size and athleticism to be an efficient blocker at the next level.

He's also a productive receiver, with over 70% of his catches at Virginia moving the chains or scoring six points. Brugler calls him a "prototypical Y tight end." In the third round, he can be the most viable option to give the Cowboys an offensive weapon, even if he's got things to work on.
