Who would've thought the Dallas Cowboys would go 2-0 with Cooper Rush at quarterback when it was announced Dak Prescott would miss multiple weeks? He – alongside many unlikely heroes on offense – deserves credit for keeping this season alive.

But if we're talking about THE reason why this Cowboys team is winning, we have to give it up for the pass rush. Led by Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, this is a football team that will get to your quarterback.

On Monday night, the Cowboys pressured Daniel Jones 35 times per Pro Football Focus. 35!

To put it into perspective, seven NFL teams have 39 or fewer pressures for the entire season.

In the chart below, analytics expert Ben Baldwin gives you a perfect visualization of where the Cowboys rank in the NFL when it comes to pass rush. In the upper right corner, you can see where each team ranks throughout the league in this area. The farther up and right you are, the better.

The Cowboys and the Bills are in their own league!

The chart above is a compilation of PFF player grades and ESPN's metric of pass rush win rate. Both the Bills and Cowboys rank near the top of each category. You can – and should – check Ben Baldwin's full Twitter thread here.

Anyone who has tuned into a Cowboys game knows better than to second guess these stats because it's so evident. Play in and play out, Dan Quinn changes the defensive front to give his players the best chance at succeeding and they make the most out of it.

Parsons and Lawrence get most of the attention but seven other players got at least two pressures in versus the Giants. That includes four from Dorance Armstrong who also recorded a sack.

Rarely is an NFL defense able to win games consistently. The variables are just too many to overcome.

But the 2022 Cowboys look like that kind of defense right now. Of course, they'll need their offense to step it up to keep looking like this versus the best of teams later in the season, but the good news is help is on the way.

The same unit that's been able to run the football and come up in the clutch in key moments will get Michael Gallup and Dak Prescott back quite soon. Jason Peters could be inserted as a starter anytime now.

In the meantime? The relentless Cowboys' pass rush is set to face the Washington Commanders next Sunday. And in case you haven't heard, Carson Wentz was sacked nine times last weekend.

Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence are licking their chops.
