A former star for the Philadelphia Eagles could be headed to a division rival very soon. Offensive tackle Jason Peters has been in talks with the Dallas Cowboys about a contract. The deal is not done, but talks have intensified over the past couple of days. The move would not be one that fans of the Eagles would like to see.

Peters is one of the best offensive tackles in Philadelphia Eagles franchise history. He began his career with the Buffalo Bills. After five seasons there, his long tenure with the Eagles began. That is where he spent ten seasons.

The veteran OL was a fan favorite for his personality and leadership, but he was also a special player during his decade with the Eagles. The sight of him in a Dallas Cowboys uniform would not be ideal.

That being said, Peters spent last season with the Chicago Bears. He has begun to show his age in some ways, but he still presents a veteran presence and consistency along the offensive line. He may not be the player he once was, but he can still hold down a spot along the offensive line.

Peters and the Cowboys could come to an agreement as soon as today or tomorrow. Eagles' fans will want to keep an eye on it.
