Micah Parsons is a game-wrecking talent. The Dallas Cowboys' defender is the definition of a game-changing player with his ability to rush the passer and impact the game from his linebacker position.

Parsons has taken the league by storm since being drafted No. 12 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. He has only improved since his rookie season, and offenses are well aware of what he can do to their game plan.

"He causes a lot of problems. They cause a lot of mismatches for him, they get him in position where he’s on the back a lot, but he can beat linemen as well," Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said ahead of the season opener. "He’s a true game-wrecker.”

Parsons has already totaled six sacks through five games this season. Additionally, he has forced a fumble, made seven tackles-for-loss, and 12 quarterback hits. His speed and playmaking ability on defense is evident when he is on the field.

The Cowboys' upcoming opponent and fierce rival is well-aware of that fact. The Philadelphia Eagles are planning to account for Parsons on "every single play" when the two NFC East squads match up on Sunday Night Football.

Cowboys star has Eagles' attention

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is the current favorite to win NFL coach of the year. Despite the success that the Eagles have had so far, he knows how big of a challenge that the Dallas Cowboys present in week six.

Micah Parsons, in particular, is a problem. A big problem for the Eagles. Sirianni admitted that the Eagles will be paying extra close attention to Parsons and where he is pre-snap before every play.

Furthermore, the Eagles' head coach compared the Dallas Cowboys' All-Pro talent to other elite pass rushers. Parsons reminds Philadelphia of the likes of Von Miller and Khalil Mack — two players that have made careers out of making game-changing plays.

"Nobody has thought about (those guys) more than we have," Sirianni explained to the media this week.

It's clear that Micah Parsons is taking up head space in the Philadelphia Eagles' building. We know how dominant of a player he is, and they do, too. He and the Cowboys' defense made life hard for the Eagles during Parsons' rookie season.

Sirianni and the Eagles cannot seem to take Parsons off their mind. It's hard to blame them.

Parsons' DPOY odds continue to rise

Micah Parsons is on the way to another All-Pro season. He is playing at an extremely high level, picking up where he left off in his first season in the NFL. It is evident that he can disrupt an offense on any given play throughout four quarters.

As a result, his odds to win Defensive Player of the Year continue to rise. Parsons now has 2/3 odds to win the award at the end of the season. That is just ahead of Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers defensive ends Maxx Crosby and Nick Bosa.

The Dallas Cowboys' phenom nearly won the honor as a rookie before TJ Watt ultimately took home the crown. Now, it looks like he the award is his to lose as we inch closer to the halfway mark of the 2022 regular season.

Micah Parsons will have the opportunity to continue his remarkable second season and wreck the game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. A Pennsylvania native that played at Penn State, you know he's ready for the moment.
