The Green Bay Packers' biggest need heading into training camp is at wide receiver.

Specifically, the Packers don't currently have a true No. 1 wide receiver to replace Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this offseason.

At this point in the offseason, there aren't any true No. 1 wide receivers available in free agency.

That means the best way for Green Bay to address the need is via trade.

I've suggested several times this offseason that the Packers should make a deal for Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf. I still think they should. But if they don't deal for Metcalf, there are a couple of other options they could consider.

And one of those options, Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin, came off the board on Tuesday.

McLaurin, a former Ohio State standout, is signing a three-year extension with Washington, according to multiple reports.

With McLaurin no longer an option, it leaves Metcalf and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel as the top trade targets for the Packers.

I like the idea of Metcalf in Green Bay the best, but Samuel would be a good fit, too. Samuel would bring a different playing style to the Packers' offense, but he'd still be a great addition to Green Bay's wide receiver room.

My gut feeling, however, says that Green Bay will ultimately be happy going into the season with the wide receivers currently on their roster. But because they were willing to pay Adams before he was traded, I don't think we can rule out a major trade going down at some point this summer.
