The Houston Texans are officially set up better than any other team in the AFC South. They have the franchise superstar quarterback, C.J. Stroud, who just won Offensive Rookie of the Year. They have the rookie head coach from last season, who won them a playoff game but now has a season under his belt. They have the offensive coordinator from last year, who got better as the season went on.

To make things even better, they have a ton of salary cap space and many draft picks to work with. They should be a team set up to win the division again.

They also have something else going in their favor that we didn't see at the end of the season. During the season, C.J. Stroud and his fellow rookie Tank Dell were a problem for every defense. They were a duo that was taking the league by storm. Then, on what was a play that featured Dell on the goalline, being a blocker for a running play, he got injured for the rest of the year.

He will be back for 2024, and so will the rest of their receiver corps, or most of it, anyway. The best part is some players on their biggest rival, and former players as well, know that Dell and Stroud are special.

"I'm going to tell y'all a quarterback and receiver who reminds me of me and 12 [Andrew Luck]," former Indianapolis Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton said. "I'm going to make some of y'all mad, but I'm speaking facts… C.J. [Stroud] and Tank Dell. I feel like they are more off-script guys. C.J. can scramble, and Luck can scramble. C.J. is looking for one person. Luck scrambles, and he's looking for one person…"

The rest of the quotes and interviews have a lot of explicit language in them, so we won't transcribe them. However, it was very funny to hear T.Y. Hilton and a few other Indianapolis Colts players respectfully talk about the Texans but also remember they are big rivals.

Last season, Dell and Stroud put together 709 passing yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games. Now, imagine next year after a year in the same system.

Luck and Hilton, when they were both healthy as both had injury issues, were two of the best QB-WR duos in the league. They both used to destroy Houston, too. So, they know a bit about what it takes to be elite, and for Hilton to give that compliment was pretty great.
