Ohio State is going to be uniquely represented in the Super Bowl on Sunday with the San Francisco 49ers particularly.

Nick Bosa and Chase Young will be lining up on opposite sides of the defensive line to try to get after Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.

The college and now NFL duo played two seasons together at Ohio State before Bosa was a first-round pick in 2019, and then Young was a first-round pick in 2020.

The two did not win a National Championship together at Ohio State but now they have a chance to win a Lombardi together at the professional level.

Young has played seven games with the 49ers since being traded over from the Washington Commanders. Out of his 7.5 sacks this season, five of them have come with the 49ers.

Bosa together 10.5 sacks this season with the 49ers after having 18.5 last year and winning Defensive Player of the Year.

Ohio State is still running through the blood of Young and Chase, who called their old defensive line coach at Ohio State. Larry Johnson coached both for the Buckeyes and has been with the team since 2014.

Not many former college teammates get a chance to accomplish such a feat, perhaps the edge-rushing duo can.
