NASHVILLE — Quarterback Will Levis is in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII this week. While the Tennessee Titans finished outside of the postseason picture in Levis' rookie season, he's excited about what new coach Brian Callahan might help him accomplish in Year 2.

Levis spoke with Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com on Wednesday.

"It's been awesome," Levis said, via the team's official website. "I've been able to speak with (Callahan) a few times since then and he's keeping me in the loop about all the hires and how excited he is about everyone we are bringing in on the staff. I'm looking forward to having it all ironed out, and everyone (on the staff) will be in there on Tuesday it looks like."

A new coach in Tennessee won't help Levis make the leap alone.

GM Ran Carthon and his staff have their work cut out for them. The Titans drafted poorly from 2020-2022 and the current roster reeks of that neglect. Levis, too, has plenty to improve upon.

The 33rd overall pick in last year's draft finished 3-6 in his nine starts and completed only 58.4% of his passes for eight touchdowns and four interceptions.

"I thought that Will (Levis) was a really good player coming out of college," Callahan said in his introductory press conference. "I thought when you watch him play this year, you saw, really, growth. I mean, you saw him learn. The NFL is hard. It's hard on quarterbacks. It's particularly hard on young ones.

"I saw a lot of really positive things, some of the throws, some of his competitive instincts that he put on tape, were really impressive. And so, I'm excited to dive more into that and how can he get better from year one to year two and keep putting him in position to have success so we can score some points on offense."

Callahan's success or failure as Tennessee's coach will certainly be judged by the work he does with Levis.

Brian Callahan’s Titans can help define what ‘New Nashville’ means

NASHVILLE — As Brian Callahan gets used to his new gig coaching the Tennessee Titans, he will eventually have time for he and his young family to get to know their new home. It will take Callahans no time at all to learn that Nashville feels like a city always under construction. Its football team […]
