The San Francisco 49ers will have multiple dilemmas to address in the offseason, including the future of Chase Young with the team.

The 49ers acquired Young from the Washington Commanders ahead of this past season’s NFL trade deadline. Young went on to tally 2.5 sacks and six quarterback hits over nine regular season games played with the 49ers in the campaign.

The 49ers provided Young with the chance to shine in the playoffs. Young featured in at least 65 percent of snaps on defense in each of their three playoff games this year, and he combined for a mere three total pressures and 1.0 sacks over those contests.

It is currently up in the air as to whether the 49ers will make a push to re-sign Young. If it were up to Nick Bosa, he would bring back the fourth-year pass rusher.

"I definitely want Chase back," Bosa said on the 49ers’ locker clean-out day. "…I think he did great. I think it's tough to come in and get the scheme right away. It took him a little bit to get used to some of the stuff, but I was super impressed with him.

"Hopefully we can get him back, but obviously he needs to do what's best for him."

Young has recorded 16.5 sacks over 43 regular season games played in the NFL.
