According to Rivals.com's Adam Gorney, the Tennessee Vols are one of several programs hoping to flip 2025 four-star defensive lineman Brandon Brown.

Brown, 6-foot-2/286 lbs from Melbourne, FL, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 30 defensive lineman in the nation. He committed to Texas in December.

Gorney pointed out that Brown committed to the Longhorns without first visiting Texas. And after his commitment, Bo Davis, the defensive line coach at Texas that recruited Brown, left to become the new defensive line coach at LSU.

Miami, Ohio State, and Florida are also among the programs hoping to flip Brown.

The talented defensive lineman took a visit to Tennessee last November for the Vols' game against the Georgia Bulldogs, so he's familiar with Knoxville and UT's campus.

Tennessee defensive line coach Rodney Garner is one of the best in the business. It wouldn't be a surprise if Brown decides he'd prefer to play for Garner instead of Kenny Baker, the coach who replaced Davis at Texas.

This is a recruiting battle that will likely continue to shake out in the summer months.
