If they want to take that next step, the Las Vegas Raiders need to make some moves this offseason in both free agency and the draft. They were close to making the playoffs, and with Antonio Pierce coaching all year and some new additions where they are needed, this very well could be a playoff team.

Free agency comes before the NFL draft, so that's where the focus needs to be first. The Raiders have plenty of money to spend, too, as they will have around $44 million in available cap space, which puts them with the 11th most in the league as things currently stand, according to Spotrac.

That's enough money to snag some really good players and maybe even the best player in all of free agency. Then you add in that Maxx Crosby already wants him, too.

"I mean, I would take Chris Jones in a heartbeat," Crosby said. "I know Chris really well. So I mean, there are a lot of guys in free agency, a lot of great defensive tackles. It would be it would be awesome. I mean, Chris Jones is one of the best in the game, if not the best at what he does. I know he's a Chief, but at the end of the day, if you want to come to the Raiders, come on down. I'm all for it."

Now, some Raiders fans will get mad at that because Jones is on the Chiefs; however, here is where you have to put that rivalry to the side. Jones is, in fact, the best defensive tackle in the game, and that just so happens to be the Raiders' biggest need.

According to A to Z Sports' Free Agency Projections, Chris Jones is projected to get a deal for around four years, $110M, $27.5 million average per year, $65 million fully guaranteed. The Raiders can certainly afford that, but it would keep them from getting to add as much as they could if they don't go in that direction.

The Chiefs have a dilemma on their hands. They have to pay either Chris Jones or L'Jarius Sneed, and all signs are pointing toward the cornerback being the guy they bring back. So, it's possible, but it's not a move I think the Raiders will end up doing if we are being honest.
